Gordon Monson: Salt Lake Bees’ Steve Klauke, the Voice of Baseball in Utah, eager for games to begin again

Minor League Baseball was dormant in 2020 due to the pandemic. The longtime Bees broadcaster hopes the season will commence on-time this year

(Leah Hogsten | Tribune file photo) Salt Lake Bees announcer Steve Klauke celebrates calling his 3,000th game, Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Klauke has the distinction of calling the most games a broadcaster has ever called for a single sports team in Utah history. Klauke sat out last season, along with the rest of Minor League Baseball, amid the pandemic. He's excited to get back behind the microphone in 2021.
