Two Weber State men’s basketball games against Idaho State canceled due to COVID-19

The Wildcats were scheduled to play the Bengals on Dec. 31 and Jan. 2.

The two games next up on the schedule for the Weber State men’s basketball team have been canceled due to COVID-19 among its would-be opponent’s program.

The Wildcats were scheduled to play the Idaho State Bengals on Dec. 31 on the road and Jan. 2 at home. But due to coronavirus cases within the Idaho State program, both those games have been canceled and won’t be rescheduled, Weber State announced Sunday.

A total of four games have now been canceled for Weber State this season. The other two games would have been against Dixie State and Utah State.

The Wildcats are scheduled to play home games against Eastern Washington on Jan. 7 and Jan. 9.

The Wildcats have a 3-3 record in the 2020-21 season, including a 1-1 record in the Big Sky Conference.
