Jazz release 5-game preseason schedule: 3 at home, 2 on road

(Francisco Kjolseth | The Salt Lake Tribune) Utah Jazz forward Royce O'Neale (23) chases a ball down with Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray (27) ending up in the stands as the Utah Jazz host the Denver Nuggets in their NBA game at Vivint Smart Home Arena Tuesday, April 9, 2019, in Salt Lake City.

It’s a preseason schedule that should feel relatively familiar to Jazz fans.

Once again, the Jazz will play a 5-game preseason schedule, with three of those games at Vivint Smart Home Arena and two on the road. Yes, one of those games played in Salt Lake City will be against an Australian opponent; this time, the Adelaide 36ers on Oct. 5 — who the Jazz also played in 2018.

Just like in 2018, the Jazz’s preseason schedule will wrap up with games against the Sacramento Kings —on Oct. 14 — and the Portland Trail Blazers — on Oct. 16. Last year, those games were on the road, this season, they’ll both be at home. The two road opponents, however, are now the Milwaukee Bucks on Oct. 9 and the New Orleans Pelicans on Oct. 11, the latter giving Jazz fans a first chance to see former big man Derrick Favors back in action. League MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo will be slated to play in the Bucks’ contest.

All three home games will be played at 7 p.m MT., both road games will be played at 6 p.m. MT. Tickets are on sale now for the games, while broadcast plans have not yet been finalized, according to the Jazz’s press release.
