Real Salt Lake will host German club Eintracht Frankfurt in an exhibition match Tuesday night at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy.

Eintracht Frankfurt — winner of the German Cup earlier this year, and a Bundesliga stalwart — makes its first trip to Utah.

Eintracht’s roster includes U.S. international Timothy Chandler, a right back who has been with the team for four seasons.

Sebastien Haller was Frankfurt’s top scorer in the Bundesliga last season with nine goals.

Eintracht travels to the U.S. without its World Cup contingent, including Croatia’s Ante Rebic and Mexican duo Marco Fabian and Carlos Salcedo.

Frankfurt will visit the Philadelphia Union on Saturday as it continues to prepare for the 2018-19 Bundesliga season, which begins next month.

It’s the third straight season that RSL has hosted an international friendly. Italy’s Internazionale Milano visited Rio Tinto in 2016, and England’s Manchester United came last year.

Coach Mike Petke’s RSL team is 9-8-2 in Major League Soccer, going 8-1-1 at home.

Tuesday’s game is set to start at 8 p.m.
