Pat’s BBQ to be official BBQ at Salt City Best Fest

Sponsored: Watch for rolling smoke and the undeniable smells of BBQ at Salt City Best Fest December 4th as Pat’s BBQ brings the barbecue culture to the celebration.

The mouthwatering smell of food has never been so enticing! Serving up their award-winning freshly smoked ribs (voted BEST Ribs in all 50 states!) and pulled pork (as seen now on many local restaurant menus across the state) with cornbread and coleslaw, all barbecue enthusiasts are in for a treat.

Pat’s BBQ has been making an impression on its customers since 1993. Serving delicious and satisfying food in a family-friendly environment, gratified customers offer rave reviews for excellent tasting food, consistency, and service. It is not unusual to stand in a line out the door at any time of day at either location. Pat’s BBQ has always tried its best when it comes to providing top-notch customer service while also wanting everything possible done right.

The employees of Pat’s BBQ also feel the family-type atmosphere. During COVID, owner and PitMaster Robert Novelli and his wife (along with Dave Allen, co-owner) promised the staff that they would find a way to keep the doors open.

“When COVID hit, they decided to go above and beyond for all employees, no layoffs or pay cuts,” Said Justin Lurie, Manager of both Pat’s BBQ locations. “Subsidizing out of their pocket for tips, etc. Our employees matched Robert’s loyalty and respect during that time. Everyone’s attitude was amazing, the doors stayed open, and people continued to flow in.”

(Pat's BBQ) Pat's BBQ's menu has daily specials, combo platters, family platters, kids menu and so much more!

Pat’s BBQ has offered the same menu since day one. Even when proteins or other items are scarce or experience a price increase, Pat’s promises to maintain what the customers have come to expect, including always using local wood from apple, apricot, and cherry trees. Giving back to the community is also a beloved tradition of Pat’s BBQ. Serving up meals to first responders, police and firefighters is a treasured event.

Pat’s BBQ can’t wait to meet you at Salt City Best Fest on December 4th at the Leonardo from 11 am-3 pm and for the night set from 4 pm-8 pm. They will power the Green Mountain Grills on the 3rd floor while also having a grill station on the 1st floor and their smoker outside. After grabbing a pulled pork slider, head over to the Drink Seminars sponsored by one of the many distilleries, breweries and wineries.

If you need to get a taste of the city’s best barbecue before Salt City Best Fest, visit them at their two locations in South Salt Lake on 155 W. Commonwealth Avenue or 2929 South State Street. Meal kits are also available during the holiday season, including smoked turkey breast, cornbread stuffing, sweet potato pie, and more! You can also visit Pat’s at their tailgate parties for the University of Utah and Brigham Young University games.
