Funeral services for Latter-day Saint apostle Jeffrey R. Holland, who died Saturday at age 85, will take place Wednesday in the Tabernacle on Temple Square in downtown Salt Lake City and be streamed worldwide by the global faith.

The Utah-based Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced in a Sunday news release that church President Dallin H. Oaks will preside at the funeral, set for 11 a.m. to noon MST.

Fellow apostle Quentin L. Cook, who served as a missionary companion with Holland in Britain when the two were young men, will conduct.

Members of Holland’s family will speak, the release stated, and The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square will sing.

Tabernacle seating will be open to the public, ages 8 and older, with the doors opening at 9:30 a.m.

Holland will be buried in his native St. George next to his wife, Patricia, who died in 2023.
