The LDS Church finds itself in the headlines with recent revelations that a former president of the Missionary Training Center has been accused of sexual misconduct with female missionaries in the 1980s. The faith’s governing First Presidency also has issued revised guidelines for lay leaders when interviewing members and counseling abuse victims.
