The New York Times writer M. Gessen reminds us in a recent op-ed about Trump’s continuous attempts to alter American truths and history to his liking. Congress doesn’t appear to mind and, for fear of losing their seats, will do nothing. The good news: We have an election in November! I am reminded of Julia, Winston Smith and Emmanuel Goldstein who fought against the manipulation of truth and history in Orwell’s ‘1984’!

Oh — to have such patriots in both houses of Congress!
