Letter: Let’s hand it to Utah’s tireless lawmaker: A ‘Trevor Lee Boulevard’ is in order

(Trent Nelson | The Salt Lake Tribune) Rep. Trevor Lee, R-Layton, during a special session at the Utah Capitol in Salt Lake City on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025.

I, as a registered Republican, applaud Trevor Lee’s plan to rededicate the already dedicated 900 South in Salt Lake City to Charlie Kirk! What masterful trolling! I would only suggest that we go the proper extra step and honor our true hero, Trevor Lee.

I propose that we include in the bill and addendum hereby dedicating every public restroom in the state as “Trevor Lee Boulevard.” Utah should provide funds for not gold, but yellow, engraved plaques that every proud Utah establishment can post on their bathroom door because it’s the law!

This way we, proudly anti-everything-that-isn’t-beige (and especially anti-LGBT, as they are clearly having too much unauthorized fun!), can meditate on how relieved we are as we relieve ourselves knowing that our hero, Trevor Lee, is on the job ruining fun and sowing glorious division in those awful places that dare to declare inclusion rather than division.

So, my good beige Republican representatives, make it so!

Your Republican friend,

John Whipple, Salt Lake City
