Our congressional delegation stands with Donald Trump on everything, including priorities which place financing Argentina’s economy above making health care affordable for Americans.
Trump is committing to shoveling $20 to $40 billion to bail out Argentina’s economy, while failing to find $35 billion to continue health care subsidies for Americans for the next year. So, Trump considers Argentina’s economy more important than healthcare for Americans.
The same is true for tax cuts for the wealthy, which the so-called Big Beautiful Bill continues to fund for the next four years for $170 billion, which is approximately the same as extending the health care subsidies would have cost. So, obviously Trump and the Republican Congress prioritize tax cuts for the wealthy over affordable health care for everyone else.
And apparently, the Utah congressional delegation agrees that affordable health care is not as important as tax cuts for the wealthy and subsidizing Argentina as none of them have made any comments to the contrary.
They have also not made any public comments about the destruction of the East Wing of the White House. Apparently they believe Trump can do anything he wants to do. They have made Congress a meaningless branch of government, and perhaps they would not object if he also had the Capitol razed. It probably wouldn’t make much difference as the current Congress has made itself an irrelevant institution anyways.
