Let’s not forget that the American bald eagle is the symbol of the United States.

In order for the eagle to fly, it requires both wings, the right wing and the left wing. It can only soar when both wings are working together in unison. If the right wing is the only wing operating, then the eagle will spiral downward and perish.

Trump’s administration has forgotten that we are all part of one country, the united states. We have three branches of government and more than one political party.

Diversity is what enables America to soar. Diversity in ideas, people and cultures. A president’s job is to find common ground within his administration, work together to solve issues and unite its citizens. Instead, Trump thrives on lies, blame, chaos and division. Until we can speak the truth, listen to each other with respect and integrity, discuss our differences and function as a bipartisan government — we will never be able to soar.

Support free news for Utah

sltrib.com is now free to access — no subscription required. We made this decision because we believe access to trustworthy, independent news shouldn’t depend on what you can afford — especially as misinformation and AI-generated content continue to rise.

Free to read doesn’t mean free to produce. Our reporters show up every day to ask hard questions and hold powerful institutions to account. That work takes resources. As a nonprofit newsroom, we rely on support from people who believe it matters. Make a donation today to fund local news that serves Utah communities.
