Petty, pettiness, vindictive: Google defines these words as being small-minded, spiteful and showing a strong desire for revenge.
Because of his recent actions to deny actor Tom Hanks an award from the United States Military Academy these words can easily be added to multiple other words to describe Donald Trump’s many failures.
Anyone with a single working brain cell knows it was Trump who ordered this. At the same time under Trump’s directions they are reinstalling statues of traitorous Confederate generals and also reinstalling the names of army bases after traitorous Confederate generals.
Tom Hanks is an American treasure. According to the Academy of Motion Pictures he has been in 77 movies. Who can forget him dancing on the piano keys in the movie “Big,” or telling one of the female baseball players in “A League of Their Own,” “there’s no crying in baseball.” And of course who can forget the epic motion picture “Saving Private Ryan.” Also how could you forget him meeting the new love of his life on the top of the Empire State Building in the movie “You’ve got Mail.” Or as the main character in the movies “The DaVinci Code” and “Angels and Demons.” And who could possibly forget him calling out to his best friend Wilson as the soccer ball bobbles off in the ocean current.
Perhaps the one that stands out most is his performance in the epic movie “Saving Private Ryan.” It was because of Hanks’ support of the military and acting roles in military movies that he was being given the award.
There is no bottom to Trump and what he will do to anyone he doesn’t like.
There’s not a lot we can do at this time except hope for the best and vote for those in future elections that will oppose his dangerous path for America.
