When loyalty trumps merit, you get incompetence and cruelty. This is Trump’s world.

Whiplashing tariffs threaten global economic stability and invite inflation.

Budget bills punish the poor and send the nation further into debt.

People in positions of authority compromise their values for fear of appearing disloyal.

Elected officials sworn to uphold the Constitution violate their oaths.

Loyalist appointees who lack training and moral character tear down with no thought to building better.

Legal immigrants and visa holders get arrested and deported.

The National Guard and Marines turn peaceful protests into riots. A Cabinet secretary looks on as a United States senator is thrown to the ground and handcuffed.

A United States senator from Utah immediately turns the assassination of a Minnesota Democrat legislator into a partisan joke.

This is what happens when loyalty trumps merit.
