This is a moment of moral clarity. The choices our elected leaders make now will define how history remembers them — and how Utahns judge their courage.
Sen. Mike Lee has tethered his legacy to partisan extremism and constitutional abandonment. History will not be kind to those who excused authoritarian overreach and cloaked it in the language of patriotism.
By contrast, Sen. Mitt Romney will be remembered as a statesman who placed country over party and truth over ambition. Not perfect — but principled.
