Letter: History will not be kind to leaders who won’t uphold our Constitution

Man of La MAGA | Pat Bagley

Questions for our MAGA members of Congress: More than likely, each one of you has or had a relative or friend who served in the military, defending the U.S., protecting its citizens, interests and allies while upholding our Constitution. They fought for democracy, those brave citizens’ lives were forever changed.

The questions: How would your relative or friend feel about you relinquishing your responsibilities and ceding power to the executive branch of our current administration? Don’t you feel that your actions/nonactions are disrespectful not only to our Constitution but also to the millions who fought to protect the life you enjoy?

To those of you who truly support the actions and behaviors of our president, know that you are complicit in undermining our country, our Constitution, and our world standing.

To those of you who are just afraid to speak up out of fear of retribution, do not wait too long to stand up for what you believe, do not continue to abrogate the responsibilities placed on you when you were elected to Congress. History will not be kind to you.

Rose Bauman, Sandy
