I am making a “geezer” plea to UDOT and others. Please make our street signs bigger and readable.
I just returned from Phoenix, land of geezers. I was so pleasantly surprised that they have big and lighted street intersection signs everywhere. Amazing, such a revolutionary idea — not just for the geezers but for everyone, especially when we are driving at night.
Who came up with the idea of small misplaced green signs no one can see or read until they are in the intersection?
I know the change of the intersection signage is not rocket science and clearly within the billions of dollars being spent by UDOT and others.
By the way, who came up with the idea of the miniature interstate signs? I know McDonalds or In-and-Out Burger wouldn’t install such a button badge for their patrons.
This is not just an annoyance complaint. It is a safety issue for all of us trying to navigate our roads.
