When actual American citizens are mistakenly deported alongside immigrants — you own this.
When Trump rounds up his political enemies like he’s promised to do — you own this.
When someone you love has a miscarriage and can’t get the care they deserve because of abortion bans — you own this.
When women lose rights to birth control and IVF becomes impossible due to fetal personhood bills—you own this.
When Trump gets 25th Amendment-ed and JD Vance starts implementing the anti-woman, christofascist policies he’s espoused on countless podcasts — you own this.
You can have your reasons for voting for Trump, and I know I’ll never convince you otherwise.
But I hope that I’ve planted a thought, and maybe someday as you’re watching another Trump atrocity unfolding on the news, you’ll remember that you own the consequences of your vote.
And I hope that thought sinks heavy into your heart. That weight will be yours to bear for eternity.
