In response to Roger Terry’s recent letter, I’d like to add a few more comments.
When my kids were young , I tried to raise them to be kind, to work hard, to be honest and to be good friends. I think that is important to all of us.
I also tried to raise them with a love and appreciation of all life has to offer and the beauty of the outdoors. Utah was an especially easy place to do that since we are surrounded by geological magnificence.
I’d wish the same for everyone — a kind world where we appreciate how lucky we are and a love of the outdoors. Polls show it’s what most Utahns want.
So why would anyone vote for Trump when he is the antithesis of anything we’d hope our children emulate and his policies attempted to destroy our air, water and open lands in favor of development, pollution, and oil and gas extraction?
