Dear voters:

Consider:

  • Golda Meir, Prime Minister, Israel, 1969-1974
  • Margaret Thatcher, PM United Kingdom, 1979-1990
  • Benazir Bhutto, PM Pakistan, 1988-1990, 1993-1996
  • Indira Gandhi, PM India, 1996-1997, 1980-1984
  • Angela Merkel, Chancellor Germany, 2005-2021
  • Jacinda Arden, PM New Zealand, 2017-2023
  • All told, there have been 77 female heads of state from 59 different countries since 1960.

Who says the U.S. is not ready for a woman president?
