Donald Trump assured Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, during his recent visit to Mar-a-Lago, that if he was elected president he would not give “another penny” towards the Ukrainian war effort. Really?
The “wisdom” of Donald Trump suggests it’s OK to lay waste to a country whose occupants simply want to maintain their independence from Russia and their ruthless thug dictator — Vladimir Putin.
If Putin takes Ukraine then who’s next? Moldova, the Baltic countries, Poland … who knows … but the invasion of a NATO country means jets in the skies and boots on the ground for our American pilots and soldiers.
So, Donald Trump … tell us why you would forsake Ukraine and even suggest, which you have done on more than one occasion, the removal of the United States from the NATO alliance? I would liken this to FDR telling Winston Churchill, “you are on your own, we’ll fight this war when it arrives on our beaches and Hitler begins dropping bombs on New York City.”
Joe Biden has never wavered in his support for Ukraine and our NATO allies. Trump can’t even spell “NATO” and is now preoccupied with selling shoes, Bibles and offering up images of Joe Biden tied up in the back of a pickup. What a guy!
