I called my congressman’s office to ask if he supported Russia’s invasion of the Ukraine as much as he appears to. He’s one of the Republicans who is still failing to vote in favor of aid to Ukraine, after all.
His earnest staffer told me that my Rep. Blake Moore is apparently “very supportive” of aid to Ukraine. It’s just that the mean old House Speaker Mike Johnson won’t let Rep. Moore vote in favor of that aid.
So let me get this straight. Blake Moore voted to install Mean Old Mike as speaker, the speaker has a razor-thin majority, so obviously Blake Moore has no influence whatsoever.
It doesn’t speak well of the congressman. Is he really on America’s side?
