Letter: Trump and Netanyahu: Two impulsive, tone-deaf, dangerous birds of a feather

I think Donald Trump is an immoral, incompetent liar. I’m not alone, as the following quotation from a piece in The Washington Post by Jennifer Rubin— in which she compared Benjamin Netanyahu to Trump — illustrates. (I strongly recommend that you read the full article):

“These are men who continually insist only they speak for the country, only they can shield it from harm. They dehumanize and demonize any opposition and cannot display a modicum of empathy. And when their own incompetence leads to avoidable deaths (e.g., a Hamas attack, a raging pandemic), they deflect and cast blame elsewhere. Impulsive, afraid of humiliation and tone-deaf, they never learn their lesson.”

I’m normally an optimist and I think that Israel will survive with a big stain on its reputation. However, I feel that if Trump becomes president again, the USA and maybe the world is doomed — probably by climate change, which can’t be fought with guns!
