Everyone can sense that the United States of America is in an existential crisis. China seeks to undermine the world order we’ve led since WWII, and thereby embolden and support Russia and North Korea. In both the cyber domain and the physical domain China is probing our defenses and our resolve. On the economic front, our government spending is so far out of control that inflation has gone through the roof, a home has become something that no young couple can even dream of affording, the national debt is exploding, and our representatives are playing their perennial game of chicken, with the destruction of our nation’s credit at stake.
The only way out of this mess is through the collective efforts of wise leaders working together to identify novel solutions. Yet when the world needs them most, they have vanished. Our broken political parties look set to present us with the choice between an egotistical narcissist eager to tear up the Constitution, or a senile puppet long past retirement.
These are the leaders that are supposed to solve the multiple crises that are worsening all the time? It is time for the moderate people of sense to demand change. We must not stand idly by while our politics are hijacked by radicals and madmen.
Send in your letters and your votes and your social media to demand a return to sanity! Our politicians see the system falling apart, but pander to the radicals because those are the only voices they hear. Are we going to wait until a war between superpowers, an economic depression and a civil war all break out simultaneously to realize that we need a wise, moderate president?
