Letter: It is terrifying to consider what injustices Trump would commit if reelected

(Alex Brandon via AP) Former President Donald Trump steps off his plane as he arrives at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023, in Atlanta.

In The Tribune, on Aug. 25, it was reported, most of the 2024 Republican candidates would support Donald Trump as their nominee even if he is convicted in a series of court cases. These individuals are willing to look away from the atrocities that Trump has been charged with in order to continue their support of the big liar.

Mike Lee was quoted as saying, “Donald Trump’s reelection would be good for America.” Whose America is Lee wanting to live in? Not a democratic America for certain!

After two impeachments, four grand jury indictments, hundreds being convicted of federal crimes associated with the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, and dozens of those associated with Trump charged with federal crimes, isn’t it time for Americans who are in denial to wake up and realize the negative impact of his lies and finally denounce him as a person unfit for any public office and dangerous to America.

“Anyone who has the power to make you believe atrocities has the power to make you commit injustices.” (Voltaire)

I tremble to think of the future injustices that would be committed if Trump were to be reelected.
