Letter: RFK Jr. is more than just a conspiracy theorist

RFK Jr., the controversial Democrat challenging President Joe Biden, has received significant attention from social media and news outlets due to his recent appearance on the Joe Rogan Podcast. With this newfound attention, many people have claimed that RFK Jr. sounds more like a MAGA Republican, not a Democratic presidential candidate, simply because of his anti-vaccine views.

However, his policies say otherwise. Beyond vaccines, RFK Jr. aligns with the Democrats on almost every single issue. When it comes to abortion, RFK Jr. is pro-choice. He supports the government’s funding of Planned Parenthood. He also supports gay marriage. He thinks there should be more restrictions on the current process of purchasing a gun. In addition, he has said that employers should be mandated to pay men and women the same salary.

Does this sound like a MAGA Republican? Does this sound like someone who supports Donald Trump? No.

The only policy that gets RFK Jr. criticism is his opinion on vaccines, which supporters of Joe Biden have used to label him as an extremist.

Here is the truth: He is just like any other moderate Democrat.
