Letter: Kindergarten behavior in Congress is reprehensible and absurd

Enough is enough. The egotistical politicians cannot play well with others. Each side wants to win for his/her glory and the glory of the party. Those of us who are mere mortals are sick of the bickering, sick of the lies, sick of the obvious need for attention displayed for many weeks. “News” is no longer news; it is simply boring repetition, ending in: “we are tougher (smarter, cooler, more righteous) than the other side.”

When people do not do their jobs effectively in the real world, they should be fired. All of them. That applies to Congress, as well as to all politicians. Give the rest of us a break. Act like grownups and be realistic. Face the problem and solve it.

The “winner” should be the country, not either party. This fourth grade behavior (apologies to fourth graders) is reprehensible and absurd.

Compromise on the playground is required. Get the job done or resign. Now.
