Rep. Sens. Mitt Romney and Mike Lee called Donald Trump’s arraignment “politically motivated,” and it would be difficult to find anyone from the former president’s party who will admit to believing otherwise.
What about Michael Cohen?
Trump’s former attorney was sentenced to three years in prison for tax evasion and campaign-finance violations while Trump was still president. In Cohen’s case, Cohen acted on the instructions of, and was funded by, “individual one,” which was Donald J Trump.
How is Trump’s case political when the man who acted on his behalf and was paid by him was convicted and sent to prison for related crimes?
