I am surprised that the DABS would allow a tavern in Moab to keep its license after they were closed for 12 days due to a sewer back up and not following the letter of the law that a closure must be reported to the DABC.
After being consulted by the governor (thank goodness he is there to consult) they were allowed to keep their license.
The Sandtrap Cafe in Ogden didn’t fare so well after having a fire (apparently, the governor wasn’t available to consult in this case!). Are you telling me if the Sandtrap Cafe would have had their sewer back up, and the governor was consulted, they wouldn’t have lost their license?
Or could it be that Moab is a major tourist attraction and Ogden is not?
Come on DABS, play fair!
