Letter: So, when atheists preach against scriptures, they should be censured?

Steve Griffin | The Salt Lake Tribune Audience members listen to Gov. Gary Herbert as he reads from the Bible at the Utah Capitol Rotunda as part of Salt Lake City being selected as the National Bible City for 2013 Monday, November 25, 2013.

The submission by Marilyn Marshall on Jan. 4 was one of the most amusing letters I’ve read in a while.

She complains that Greg Clark has written to The Tribune numerous times and she doesn’t like what an atheist writes about. Marshall says that Clark, an atheist, comes across as “bitter and angry” because he doesn’t respect or believe in “scriptures.”

Perhaps she doesn’t know that she comes across as “bitter and angry” at an atheist that doesn’t believe in”scriptures.”

The irony is that she is unable to recognize that atheists don’t believe in the buybull babble that she does.

She and her ilk here in Utah are allowed to preach all they want about “scriptures.”

When an atheist preaches against scriptures, she wants them censured. Irony or ignorance?
