Letter: By running gun ads, The Tribune shares the shame of the gun industry

(Francisco Kjolseth | The Salt Lake Tribune) March for Our Live Utah pins at a rally at the Utah Capitol on Feb. 15, 2020. The rally took place the day after the anniversary of the shooting at Stoneman Douglas high school in Parkland, FL.

Reading my online paper was an adjustment, but I have now incorporated it into my daily routine. However, that routine was spoiled by the Thanksgiving edition.

Just days after two horrific shootings, the Tribune runs a full page ad for guns, including an AR style rifle that I could purchase for just a little over a thousand dollars; it comes with 120 rounds of ammunition!

This ad was in poor taste. No guns should be advertised and the greed of the gun industry has bloodied their hands. Now the Tribune shares that shame.
