Letter: Midterm election was a repudiation of Trumpism and its fascist loyalists

(Hilary Swift | The New York Times) A Trump-liveried bus at a rally for Mehmet Oz in South Abington Township, Pa., on Nov. 3, 2022.

The outcome of the midterm election may not have been a resounding validation of the Biden administration, but it was most definitely a repudiation of Trumpism and its fascist loyalists, many of whom remain in office.

Even mainstream Republicans are sick and tired of Chester Cheeto, his malignant presence, and his deleterious effect on American democracy.

He brought out the worst in us, and he tried to destroy this country from the inside out, but in the end, America prevailed.

Trumpty Dumpty is done. His fragile little ego shell has been cracked, his yellow guts have been exposed, and he can fry in hell for all I care. But first he needs to pay for his crimes with a long prison sentence.

Come on, Department of Justice, give us a reason to celebrate!
