To the voters in Utah County regarding the race for county clerk:
Are you disappointed by the sorry slate of candidates on the ballot? I’m not going to badmouth those persons; in politics and life I choose to go high.
So I urge you to save yourself a lot of grief by writing in Candace Jacobson.
One job of the clerk is to issue marriage licenses. If the clerk refuses to follow the law, you’re looking at millions of your tax dollars going out in lawsuits. Candace will follow the law.
The county clerk is also in charge of conducting elections. Setting up and staffing polling locations, sending out mail-in ballots, collecting all ballots and counting them.
Now, some claim that the mail-in ballots are not secure. Rubbish. Mail-in ballots are safe and counting them up is quick and totally accurate. Scared your ballot got lost in the mail? Call the clerk’s office and ask if your vote was recorded. With the separate envelopes and signatures, your vote is secret.
Candace has worked elections for years and years. She will handle te job with complete fidelity.
Vote smart. Write in Candace Jacobson.
