Letter: Drain Utah Lake to restore Great Salt Lake – and create space for developments

(Francisco Kjolseth | The Salt Lake Tribune) A boater heads into Utah Lake from Lincoln Beach on Thursday, July 29.

If the impetus is to customize Utah Lake with islands for the purpose of providing much needed acreage for home-building, why not consider draining the polluted lake and channel the water along the Jordan River to help restore Great Salt Lake, and thereby make the former Utah Lake bottom available for development?
