Letter: How about turning the Utah State Prison site into a source of renewable energy?

(Francisco Kjolseth | The Salt Lake Tribune) The Utah State Correctional Facility in Draper, Utah, Tuesday Dec. 28, 2021.

Everyone, the state of Utah, Salt Lake County, Draper City, and all of the real estate developers, are trying to divide up the old Utah State Prison property.

One option no one seems to be considering is turning it into a world class renewable energy source. The site has it all, geothermal, solar and as everyone who drives past it knows, abundant wind for windmills. Besides all of the much-needed clean energy it would produce it could become a place where future workers could be trained.
