Letter: Stewart and his GOP ilk are experts at projection
(Francisco Kjolseth | The Salt Lake Tribune) Rep. Chris Stewart takes the stage before delegates attending the Utah Republican Party’s 2021 Organizing Convention at the Maverik Center in West Valley City on Saturday, May 1, 2021, as they return to an in-person format after the pandemic forced the nominating convention to go online last year.
When it comes to “political theater,” Rep. Chris Stewart and just about all of the Republicans have their very own repertory company.
What a perfect example of “projection.” Their accusations exactly describe what they are doing.
It is appalling that anyone who watched, much less was a part of, the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol could see it as anything less than an attack on our democracy.
How can Stewart cite “partisan games” when he is a member of the most partisan group ever to exist in our governmental system? He contributes to the obscene tactics perpetrated by Donald Trump and that entire band. Talk about contempt of our laws and Constitution!
