I have been a Salt Lake Tribune subscriber for over 50 years. I love my morning ritual of reading the paper with my tea. I’m shocked a city Salt Lake’s size cannot support a daily print paper, so I have conformed and now read the digital version and I also read the Sunday print edition.
However, it is getting harder and harder to navigate through the Sunday version. One week the paper might have a page where half of it is missing, and almost in every print edition the weather forecast is impossible to read because it is nothing but a blur. I understand finances, support, readership, etc. But isn’t there any way a few things can be improved upon?
Also, I was in my yard last Saturday around 9:30 a.m. and a car drove up and the driver threw the Sunday print edition onto my lawn. Hmmm. I am guessing the Sunday paper is printed Friday, so there is no news from Saturday.
I’m hoping The Tribune will be financially able to stay afloat. With all of the flaws, I still love my daily paper and will continue to support it.
