Letter: Time to stop trying to derail the Affordable Care Act

(Erin Schaff | The New York Times) Members of the Supreme Court pose for a group photo at the Supreme Court in Washington, April 23, 2021. Seated from left are Associate Justice Samuel Alito, Associate Justice Clarence Thomas, Chief Justice John Roberts, Associate Justice Stephen Breyer and Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Standing from left are Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Associate Justice Elena Kagan, Associate Justice Neil Gorsuch and Associate Justice Amy Coney Barrett.

With the recent Supreme Court decision to reject the Republican attorneys general suit to invalidate the Affordable Care Act, the Republican party now stands 0-71 in their attempts to repeal or invalidate the primary health care vehicle for over 30 million Americans.

Seriously, 0-71, think about that!

If the Republican Party was a football team that record would make the Detroit Lions look like Super Bowl Champions.

Time to finally face reality (at least on this small scale) and let this one go – you not only lost, you set a new standard for losing!
