Republican mouthpiece Rich Lowry expresses concern that Biden wants to increase our defense spending by only 2% in 2021 while China is increasing theirs by 6%.

China’s 2020 defense budget was $252 billion; our 2020 defense budget was $770 billion. So our 2021 increase of 2%, expressed as dollars, is $15.4 billion; China’s 2021 increase of 6% is $15.2 billion. Our 2021 budget then is $785.4 billion; China’s is $267.2

Lowry says it is inadequate to spend three times as much as China on defense. When does too much become enough, Rich?
