Letter: The GOP deserves a new mascot: A certain bird with a certain name comes to mind.

Given Sen. Mike Lee’s recent comments on how democracy may not be so great, Donald Trump’s assertion that if everyone can vote, no Republican would ever get elected, and the blatant voter suppression efforts currently being undertaken by the GOP in Georgia and elsewhere, I feel a change in the GOP’s mascot may be in order.
An elephant just doesn’t cut it anymore. I would suggest a bird, a large black bird. Specifically, a crow. His name could be Jim. That would be far more appropriate.
