Letter: Distance learning students are struggling — and need to be in school

(Leah Hogsten | The Salt Lake Tribune) Syracuse High School students file out of school on Dec. 7.

As a distance learning teacher I can tell you first hand it is not as effective as the students being in school face to face. The students that come to school are getting a better education, socialization and reaching the standards set before them. I notice distance learning students not showing up for class, not doing work, and not caring about their education. It is imperative that all students return to face to face learning. The only students that are able to do distance learning are the students that are disciplined and have a parent helping them. Please return your student to school. It is time and it is the best thing for them.
