Letter: Trump is gone, and so is the fear of losing my job

I’m a federal employee of 30 years who periodically writes letters to the editor, including two today. I have not written for the last four years out of fear of losing my job. That fear never crossed my mind prior to the election of Donald Trump. One of his critical failings was his intolerance of criticism, which had many substantial negative repercussions. A leader of a country, especially one seeking to remain free, maintain a system of checks and balances, and operate effectively, must seek out differing viewpoints, accept investigation and criticism, and recognize and correct mistakes.
