The United Utah Party got a fellow centrist removed from Congress. Its candidate (Jonia Broderick) took more than enough votes than Rep. Ben McAdams needed to keep his seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. Broderick took 8,037 votes. McAdams lost by 3,765 votes to the corrupt Burgess Owens, according to election results.utah.gov.
Meanwhile, the UUP didn’t win any seats at any level of government. The party only was harmful this most recent election cycle and only hurt the cause of centrism, a cause it champions as much as any.
