Robert Gehrke’s “Your last-minute gift guide for these Utah politicians” was clever and, as usual, spot on. However, I would suggest a more fitting gift for Mike Lee. Yes, that Mike Lee. The self-proclaimed constitutional expert. Not! Witness his tortured definition of America’s not-democracy and his support of the un-American and unconstitutional post-election Trump/Giuliani charades. The heartless Mike Lee who, as Gehrke pointed out, voted against a pandemic relief bill (twice) and against accelerating benefits to people with Lou Gehrig’s disease. Then there is the never-Trump Mike Lee who morphed rather quickly into a cowardly Trump sycophant. A toady, sucking up in hopes of a Supreme Court seat.

My suggestion for Mike Lee’s gift is the complete Wizard of Oz interactive play set. Perhaps he could become infused with a brain, a heart and just a modicum of courage. What a challenge for Santa.
