Letter: Did you cash your check?

(Eric Gay | AP file photo) In this April 23 photo, a stimulus check issued by the IRS to help combat the adverse economic effects of the COVID-19 outbreak, is displayed in San Antonio.

Did you cash and spend your stimulus check this spring? Did you do that even if you didn’t lose your job? To all the people screaming about socialism: Why did you keep the money if it was not yours?

All I hear about is the new Freedom Force, which Burgess Owens is a part of, is against this.

If you are against government intervention, did you cash and spend your check on yourself? Did you contribute it to a charity?

I was hearing a coworker complain about having to buy extra food for their kids since they were at home. After they just received a $3,000 check. Neither parent lost their job.

It is amazing how the Republicans rail against government help, yet they all cashed their checks.

Will they cash the next one too? Why are they expecting government help? It just amazes me what they complain about yet they participate in.
