Letter: So many people only care about themselves

(Trent Nelson | Tribune file photo) A sign requiring masks for entrance at Itto Sushi in Salt Lake City on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020.

The people of Utah claim to be pro-life. They want to abolish abortion. Yet they are unwilling to wear a mask to protect the elderly or those with compromised health.

Why?

The people of Utah claim to be pro-business. They want businesses to remain open. Yet they are unwilling to wear a mask to control the spread so businesses can remain open.

Why?

The people of Utah claim to be Christian. They want to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. Yet they are unwilling to wear a mask to protect their neighbors.

Why?

It appears that the reality is that a lot of the people of Utah only care about themselves. They won’t even do something as easy as wearing a mask to help all of us during a time of crisis.
