On a recent visit to Parley’s Historic Nature Park with our dog, my husband and I felt spurred to bag up after at least a dozen other dogs.

If you visit this spacious off-leash dog-walking area, I urge you to be mindful of the location and actions of your canines, and be a conscientious and watchful dog owner who assumes a responsible role.

Forget your bags? They are available at the main entrance, along with disposal bins.

Let’s keep this pooch retreat where Fido can befriend and frolic a scenic, unspoiled and pleasurable place to visit. Thank you.

sltrib.com is now free to access — no subscription required. We made this decision because we believe access to trustworthy, independent news shouldn’t depend on what you can afford — especially as misinformation and AI-generated content continue to rise.

Free to read doesn’t mean free to produce. Our reporters show up every day to ask hard questions and hold powerful institutions to account. That work takes resources.
