Donald Trump just publicly admitted, out loud and into a microphone, that he is withholding pandemic-related emergency funding from the United States Postal Service for the sole purpose of preventing them from being able to process the expected pandemic-caused surge in the use of mail-in ballots.
There is zero evidence that mail-in ballots pose a threat to a free and fair election. There is, however, abundant evidence that if more Americans are able to safely vote by mail that Trump will lose.
This election is no longer about Democrat vs. Republican. This election is now about right vs. wrong.

Free to read doesn’t mean free to produce. Our reporters show up every day to ask hard questions and hold powerful institutions to account. That work takes resources.
