I am worried about the direction The Salt Lake Tribune is taking in its editorial pages.
On Aug. 9, I see only far-right-wing Rich Lowry representing national columns. The other five pieces are all local, and three of them are LDS Church-related.
I’m sorry Jennifer Napier-Pearce is leaving and fear her leadership will be a great loss to The Tribune. I enjoy Leonard Pitts and hope he is just on vacation.
If The Tribune starts leaning toward local LDS items at the expense of wider-ranging information and columns, I certainly will not keep my 35-year subscription.
