Sen. Mike Lee is upset that churches are being treated equally as other businesses (“Utah Sen. Mike Lee asks Trump to prod states to reopen churches or face loss of COVID-19 aid,” July 27). Does that mean he thinks that churches need to be treated equally as other businesses, and does that mean the state of Utah now needs to tax churches? After all, the churches should not be any different from any other business. That, of course, would probably solve the revenue crisis the state is having and give the state a surplus for years to come.
