We think Gov. Herbert needs to get out more. As we waited for our curbside cuisine Saturday evening (in the new normal, take-out food brought home has replaced dinner and a movie as a date-night activity), we noticed many of "the good people of Utah" going into several restaurants in the vicinity. Likely a third of them were not wearing masks — and this was in Sandy, where presumably we're under a Salt Lake County mask mandate.
We asked the high-school age young man who delivered our dinner whether unmasked customers came into the restaurant in which he worked despite the mask required sign. He answered in the affirmative and added that when it was pointed out they needed masks the patrons would get in the employees' faces and yell at them.
Gov. Herbert: Many of "the good people of Utah" are not wearing masks. Take some responsibility and ensure people are wearing masks before it is too late.
